Naruto

Uchiha Obito is a character from the anime series Naruto Shippuden. He first appears in the Kakashi Chronicles Gaiden arc, flashbacks during the main series.

Initially portrayed as a well-meaning member of Team Minato alongside Kakashi Hatake and Rin Nohara, Obito is believed to have died during the Third Shinobi World War when a rock crushed the right side of his body. It is later revealed that he was rescued by Uchiha Madara.

Under Madara's tutelage, and witnessing Rin's death at the hands of Kakashi, Obito becomes disillusioned with the world and adopts the identity of Tobi. He masterminds the Akatsuki organization and instigates the Fourth Shinobi World War with the goal of creating a world of illusion where he can be reunited with Rin. After a change of heart, he redeems himself in the final battles, assisting the Allied Shinobi Forces before ultimately sacrificing himself to protect Naruto and his allies.
